⚡️🇹🇷🇺🇸US Congress opposes Turkey's sale of F-16 fighters A number of US lawmakers have called on the Biden administration not to sell F-16 fighters to Turkey and have expressed confidence that Congress will block any sale of these fighters to Turkey.

In a letter to Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, 11 members of the US House of Representatives expressed concern about recent reports that Turkey has asked the United States to purchase 40 F-16 fighters, as well as modernize some 80 American fighters in Ankara.

Ankara previously ordered the purchase of more than 100 F-35 fighters, but the United States dropped Ankara from the plan in 2019 after Turkey acquired the Russian S-400 system. / #USA #Turkey /
