De-Escalating Tensions?! Kosovo & Serbia Reach Border Agreement
An EU mediator says Serbia and Kosovo have reached a deal to end the border chaos triggered by disputes over vehicle license plates.
Serbia doesn't recognize Kosovo’s statehood, meaning crossing over the land border can be deemed illegal. Tensions soared after Kosovo decided Serbian vehicles would require new tags earlier this month.
Stickers will now be put over existing car registrations, while crossing into each other’s territories.
