A column of Afghan government forces defeated by the Taliban in the Spin Boldak area on the border with Pakistan. According to some Afghan sources, Sedik Karzai, deputy commander of the special operations forces of the Afghan army in Kandahar province, as well as the famous Indian Reuters photojournalist, Pulitzer Prize laureate Danish Siddiq, who was with a detachment of Afghan special forces, died in an ambush on this convoy.
